Kathy Hughes leads the Business Applications team at OU Health, where they support, optimize, and deploy applications across the organization. 

With more than 20 years of experience across healthcare, insurance, and other enterprise environments, she specializes in translating operational needs into practical, scalable, and stable technology solutions.

Kathy remains actively involved in the development, configuration, and integration of healthcare applications, including Hyland OnBase document-processing solutions that complement patient care and billing workflows. Her current focus includes collaborating with Hyland to implement AI-enabled OnBase workflows for intelligent document classification, data extraction, routing, and human review. These capabilities can improve document availability, support patient care and hospital billing, reduce manual work, and integrate with other business operations across OU Health.
